No, really, I do, very much.
I mean, how could I not love a woman who rang me this morning to say, "Have you thought of what you want for Christmas yet? Only I've been thinking I could get you a piano accordion......."
I seriously cannot tell you how delighted that made me but also how sad because I had to turn it down. Piano accordions are big buggers and our house isn't. Plus I think the cats would probably pack their bags and take TLH along with them until I learned to play it properly.
And I could never look as good as this while playing it:

sounds like you have a great mom lol
Twain - let's just say she understands me and my 'little ways'....
Joan is the perfect woman, isn't she? A bit hard to emulate, though, if you lack her particular charms.
I envy you your Uke.
Peevish - I do have similar boobs to Joan but that's where the resemblance ends. Come to think of it, I 'inherited' them from my mum as well....
I took accordion lessons from age 6 to age 12. I could play pretty well by then. But I never looked like Joan.
I love your mum too....but as much as love her I think she maybe deserves a litle slap for thinking about Christmas and being so damn organised!!! Could have done with inheriting a bit of that myself!
Give her and da big hugs from me when you next see them xx

That's hilarious, your post always make me laugh. I have to be honest though! I actually bought two Christmas gifts in the sales a few weeks ago.
Pinklea - ooh, you could definitely join my band then! I'm still looking for someone on musical saw, though....
Karla - you're obviously missing some part of the genetic code because I've had a couple of xmas presents stashed away since July! I've even been known to buy xmas presents in the prior January sales before! Admittedly it probably is the only thing in my life that I'm organised about.
Maureen - see my comment above - you're in good company here. Buy them when you spot them, is my mantra.
